Materials
2 yards 1.5" wide groisgrain ribbon
2 2/3 yd green toule (54" wide)
2 2/3 yd blue toule (54" wide)
Alternatively you can use 6" wide toule ribbon 24 yards of each color.
Cut toule into 24" by 6" strips you will need 36 strips of each color.
Lay ribbon out flat. Start adding toule 24" from one edge… you will work across until you reach 24" from the other edge.
Gather a strip of toule in the middle. Fold it in half.
Holding the folded edge over the ribbon in the front, bring tail through and pull tight. This creates a slipknot over the ribbon.
Work in a pattern of 3 green, 3 blues with 3 toule strips per inch.
Once you have added all your strips, trim the edge of the ribbon at an angle. You can use a flame to carefully melt the edge of the ribbon or use fray check to stop the ribbon from fraying.
