Floss:

peacock – 3810 

chartreuse – 906

baby blue – 598

buttercup – 3078

old gold – 783

white – white

black – 310

DIRECTIONS – Refer to pattern and photo for applique placements and cutting instructions.

1] Make a copy of the pattern.

2] Cut out felt using material list above and pattern. Cut grass using landscape "C". Transfer any embroidery markings.

3] Using a blanket stitch on the top and bottom, and a running stitch along the 2 sides, sew hills to block using 3 strands #906.

4] Using a blanket stitch, sew pond to grass using 3 strands #598.

5] Using a blanket stitch, sew duckie to pond using 3 strands #3078.

6] Using a running stitch, sew wing to duckie’s body using 2 strands #3078.

7] Using a running stitch, sew beak to duckie using 2 strands #783.

8] Using a stem stitch, add feather detail using 6 strands of #3078.

9] Using a stem stitch, add waves using 6 strands of #3810.

10] Using a satin stitch, attach eye to duckie using 6 strands of #310.
