robin’s egg blue – toy0580 (block)

pistachio ice cream – toy0703 (inchworm)

blue spruce – wcf0539 (stem and leaf)

loden – wcf0709 (grass blade)

copper – wcf0661 (flower)

pumpkin spice – wcf0650 (flower center)

Floss:

pistachio ice cream – 772

blue spruce – 502

loden – 522

copper – 920

pumpkin spice – 976

DIRECTIONS – Refer to pattern and photo for applique placements and cutting instructions.

1] Make a copy of the pattern.

2] Cut out felt using material list above and pattern. Transfer any embroidery markings.

3] Using a blanket stitch, sew flower to block using 3 strands #920. (Note: use running stitch at outer edge)

4] Using a blanket stitch, sew flower center to flower using 3 strands #976.

5] Using a stem stitch,  add petal detail using 6 strands #976.

6] Using a running stitch, sew stem to block using 2 strands #502.

7] Using a blanket stitch, sew leaf to block using 3 strands #502.

8] Using a stem stitch, add leaf detail using 6 strands of #502.

9] Using a blanket stitch, sew grass blade to block using 3 strands #522. (Note: use running stitch at outer edges)

10] Using a stem stitch, add grass blade detail using 6 strands #502.

11] Using a blanket stitch, sew inchworm to grass blade using 3 strands #772.

12] Using a stem stitch, add body segment detail and legs using 6 strands #502.

13] French knot an eye using 6 strands #920.
